VISITORS FEEDBACK
«The Last Swiss Holocaust Survivors is a moving, emotional tribute beautifully and lovingly put together to honor the remaining Swiss Holocaust survivors and to remember those who were lost in the worst genocide in human history. But it is also a reminder of how Holocaust survivors rebuilt their lives after the Shoah and made their contributions to Swiss society and the world.»
Ambassador (ret) Stuart E. Eizenstat, Special Adviser to Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Holocaust Issues
Author of Imperfect Justice: Looted Assets, Slave Labor & the Unfinished Business of World War II
Every day you have to take a stand, make THE choice. You cannot let a day pass without making on which side to pick.»
Liliana Segre, Holocaust survivor and "senator for life". She visited the exhibition in Milano together with the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella.
Niemals!»
Rolf Lyssy, Film director
«Your commitment shows how much the destiny of the victims and their families and generally the importance of carrying the history from one generation to the next mean to you.
We all must engage in keeping this history alive in our minds and in the minds of human society. This is the only way that hopefully such a tragedy will not repeat itself. Your commitment and work play a very important part in this and we thank you for that from the bottom of our heart.
We will be happy to support your endeavors in this most important undertaking in the future within our possibilities.»
Arik Rav-On, Director of Yad Vashem in the German speaking countries
Professor Dr. Dr.h.c Ivan Lefkovits, Holocaustsurvivor
«I had the luck to survive thanks to Switzerland.»
Ruth Westheimer on her opening speech of the exhibition last-swiss-holocaust-survivors at the United Nations in New York, January 2018
Dr. Dieter Graumann, Former president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany and former Vice President of the World Jewish Congress
«I do appreciate the important engagement of Anita Winter very much. She is a representative of the successor generation of Holocaust Survivors in Switzerland, who keeps alive the collective memory about the most horrible genocide in Europe. With this exhibition we need to engrave into our collective memory what such cruelties meant and mean for each individual, their families, the survivors and for us as a society in general. We should learn from it and not let happen any of such inhumanity never ever again. Due to such engagements and exhibitions we will never forget. Personally, I am very touched by the individual stories and destinies and I am grateful, that not hate but hope became their true directory in their lives.»
Christa Markwalder, Member of Swiss Parliament, Speaker 2015/16
«Das ist eine wunderbare Angelegenheit. Ich wünsche viel Erfolg.»
Odette Brunschvig
Benjamin Albalas, President of the Jewish community in Athens, 21 January 2019
«Nie, nie, nie darf man vergessen!»
